GOAL:
For the younger child:
While making a tarantula, children learn about the various body parts that make up the spider, their habitats, and their way of life.
For the older child:
Teaching about insects or animals in a fun, interactive way.
DESCRIPTION:
For the younger child:
The author will read the picture book, An Interview With Harry The Tarantula, then pass out supplies to make their own tarantula and answer questions about tarantulas based on what they learned from the book.
For the older child:
The author will read the picture book, An Interview With Harry The Tarantula, then children can interview other insects or animals on a mock radio show. Some research is involved.
